About Simone

I believe that healing begins when we listen — not only to the mind, but to the intelligence of the body.

For more than 25 years, I have worked as a Registered Psychologist across private practice, community services, allied health, and educational settings. Alongside my clinical work, I am a Board-Approved Supervisor and an Adjunct Lecturer at James Cook University. These roles have allowed me to work with people across cultures, ages, and life stages — each bringing their own story, resilience, and complexity.

At the heart of my work is relationship. I place deep value on authentic connection, respect, and unconditional support, creating therapeutic spaces where people feel safe to explore what is held beneath the surface. Whether working individually or in groups, my intention is to help people navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, flexibility, and self-trust.

My clinical foundation is grounded in cognitive, behavioural, and mindfulness-based therapies, including MCBT, DBT, and ACT. Over time, my practice has evolved to integrate somatic and mind–body approaches, such as Somatic EMDR, recognising that cognitive based therapies alone are often not enough for lasting change.

These frameworks are thoughtfully complemented by narrative and solution-focused practices, ensuring each therapeutic program is tailored to the individual rather than the diagnosis.

I am particularly interested in the ways the nervous system, emotion, and lived experience shape our inner and outer worlds. By weaving somatic awareness with narrative and solution-focused practices, I support clients from late adolescence through to older adulthood to develop therapeutic pathways that are, embodied, individualised and sustainable.

Become the director of your mind, guiding it with the quiet wisdom of your body

I currently offer individual therapy through Ramsay Psychology.
